Shopify Lets Browser-Based AI Agents Complete Checkout

What happened
TechCrunch reported on September 28 that Shopify added get_checkout, update_checkout and complete_checkout tools, letting agents inspect and update a checkout and place the order with the buyer's authorization. It is rolling out to all eligible Shopify merchants.

Some of your customers will soon shop through an AI agent. Make sure product titles, prices, shipping and return policies are accurate and clear, because agents read them literally.
