1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Strickland Editor, stricklandai.com, web.stricklandai.com, or related offerings (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Strickland Technology ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). Contact: james@stricklandai.com · (832) 979-4992.

2. Service Description

Strickland Technology is a web design agency. Strickland Editor connects to and edits an existing website the customer already has (business or personal). It is not a from-scratch site builder. Customers improve the site they already have without expensive agency work for every small change. When self-edit is not enough, they can request additional concierge development. Offerings include:

Strickland Editor — connect to your current website and apply edits you approve
Connection helpers for WordPress, SFTP, FTPS, and similar hosting access
Optional concierge development on your existing site (quoted separately)
Hosting, agent, and related products offered on Strickland properties
Payment processing for paid plans via Stripe

3. Early release / as-is software

Portions of the Service, including Strickland Editor, are early-release software (pre-1.0 quality). THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or bug-free operation; that edits will always render as intended on every site; or that the Service will meet every commercial requirement. You are responsible for reviewing previews and approving changes before they go live, and for maintaining your own backups.

4. Accounts & your responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of credentials you use with the Service
Ensure you are authorized to connect and modify any website or server you link
Keep backups before applying Editor or FTP/SFTP/WordPress changes
Comply with applicable laws and your hosting provider's policies
Provide accurate billing information

5. Live site modification warning

EDITOR AND FTP/SFTP/WORDPRESS FEATURES CAN MODIFY LIVE FILES ON YOUR SERVERS.

You approve saves before publish where the product offers preview/approve flows, but mistakes, hosting quirks, or software defects can still cause data loss or downtime. Use at your own risk. Strickland Technology is not liable for lost content, SEO impact, or business interruption arising from approved or attempted edits.

6. Fees, launch offer & renewals

Paid features are billed through Stripe. The current Editor launch offer is a one-time payment of $249 for founding access covering your first year of Editor use for the registered site, after which standard monthly pricing applies at the then-current rate (listed as $20/mo as of the Last updated date, subject to change with notice on the setup or pricing surfaces).

One-time Checkout unlocks Editor access immediately upon successful payment for the associated site key. Automatic conversion to monthly billing after year one may require a separate subscription step; we will communicate renewal mechanics before your access year ends. Taxes may apply. Failed payments may suspend access.

Refunds: 7-day refund ONLY if unused / not installed / no live edits. After install or any live edit, the $249 launch fee is non-refundable. At our discretion we may offer credit toward concierge development instead of cash. Details: Refund Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, branding, and software remain the property of Strickland Technology or its licensors. You retain ownership of your website content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit content solely to provide the Service.

8. Acceptable use

No unlawful, infringing, or abusive use of the Service
No attempts to bypass payment, security, or access controls
No uploading malware or interfering with other customers' sites

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STRICKLAND TECHNOLOGY AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Strickland Technology from claims arising out of your content, your websites, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, or material breach. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits, indemnity, and IP) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
